Work mojo

The Executive Director for my department's S-O died. I felt kinda weird about giving some cash flow to her for the card which went around the office.I mean, why should i give a donation to some one who makes 10X my salary.. maybe even makes my yearly salary in a month... I mean why should i give her any money.

am I alone in that kind of feeling?
