Newsmax has the skinny but what it comes down to was the same reason the Euro surged and the dollar tanked.
Money.... People made more money by switching from dollars to Euros
Why has it tanked on the other side of the atlantic?
also money... US intrest rates make the Dollar more appealing then the EURO which represents a -gasp- stagnant economy.
Hopefully the "EU as the new world hegemon" thinkers will shut up.
But sadly they won't
