PHILADELPHIA - Google Inc. and Comcast Corp. are talking with Time Warner Inc. about acquiring ownership stakes in America Online's Web portal AOL, according to a person familiar with the discussions.
Under the deal, the three companies would form a new entity through which they would jointly own the Web portal, according to the person, who requested anonymity Wednesday because release of the information was not authorized.

Why??
I mean lets face it AOL has nothing that the rest of the internet doesn't give you for free.
Other then the list of people who got suckered into AOL what possible reasoning does comcast have?
google... this is part of google's strategy to consume all things internet and dominate computer users.
