.09% of US detainees abused

Some one Alert Sully less then 1 tenth of 1 percent of detainies were abused.

The ability of anyone to get a handle on it is becoming impossible," says Eugene Fidell, president of the National Institute of Military Justice here, which studies trends in military law. "The net effect is that public opinion is lost in a fog, and I don't think that's healthy."

Why because some 70,000 Detainees is a lot to check up on. and of the 600 that have been investigated, half have resulted in some form of Punishment and 75% of the cases are now closed. So not only is Abuse a relatively tiny part of the systembut we get the reported cases investigated and bad guys punished.

However Amnesty International decided to continue with the Hate Americafest

The result, many say, is the scandal that now encompasses
Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantánamo Bay. "The main reason that the abuse was so widespread was the lack of clarity, and the lack of desire to be clear," says Jumana Musa of Amnesty International.

Torture was illegal, clearly illegal under Military law. This argument that it was unclear seems to be a dodge to try to get people who actually abused prisoners out of the pokey.

But illeberals are much more concerned about blaming anyone but the criminals.
